Hi,
I have made several manual edits to both inserted in-text citations and my inserted reference list in a large word document. Although I select for the manual edits to be retained, every time I review the document the edits appear to be undone!
This is incredibly problematic and time consuming as it means I must re-proof a huge dissertation and I do not want to run the risk of doing it again and having history repeat itself.
Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Review patent details by Google Patents instead of Google Scholar
When I upload pdf files of European patents or US patents, the automatic recognition of fields does not work properly. Even if I try reviewing the details by automatic search of Google Scholar, often the fields are only partially filled (and anyway it only works for US patents). The Google Patents database seems more appropriate than the Google Scholar one for that specific purpose. Is there anything that could be done about it?

Not all authors are listed
Hi all.
In some cases after having Mendeley DT search in Google Scholar by title not all authors are found. I cannot quantify how many times this happens, but it is a considerable amount of times.
Is there a better way of searching paper details other than the manual one?
Thanks for help.

Annotated Bibliogaphy
Hello,
Is there any word as to when Mendeley will offer an export or Plugin feature that will allow for an annotated bibliography? As this feature is extremely important for academia, I am wondering if I should move away from Mendeley and use a different system. I like Mendeley for a lot of reasons, but I just spent hours upon hours copying and pasting tags and notes into a Word doc so that I could have an annotated bib.
Thanks!

Apple Pages plug-in compatability
I am a master's student in Environmental Sciences and am delighted to just have discovered Mendeley. My excitement was quickly cut short when I realized there is no plug-in for Apple's Pages word processing program.
Any plans to work on this?
Thanks!

Why do you not allow / why do you censor feedback of your users?!
Hi there,
I recently tried to use your feedback forum. I posted the (nearly the) same suggestion twice. However, my suggestion was never published.
Even though my feedback/suggestion was a little bit provocative, in its core it was constructive criticism. So, is this the way you deal with your user's opinion? I would call this censorship. And for that, you guys are just about to lose one of your users!
Thanks,
Thomas

How to import EU documents?
Hi there,
How can I best import EU documents into my library, such as directives from the European Commission?
Example document: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX:52014PC0397
The web importer bookmarklet does not recognise this source.
Many thanks for your advice!

Store apart old documents
My Mendeley contains many items that I don't think will be anymore of use, but I'd rather not erase forever. Is there a way to store them apart from my main Mendeley database?

Manually adding citation list to adjust format
I am wondering if the following scenario is possible, and if so, how I would do it.
Say I have a list of citations in a text file, formatted in APA.
But I really need these citations to be formatted in ASA.
If I had never actually uploaded all of these articles individually to Mendeley, but rather had them listed in a text file,
is it possible to upload this list in order to change the format of all citations?
Thanks!

libreoffice plugin windows vista
Hi, I have LibreOffice Version 4.3.4.1 installed and Mendeley desktop 1.12.4. I have installed the plugin and the menu bar appears in LibreOffice writer. When I go to insert citation in writer it freezes. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the extension but the same thing happens every time. I have checked and there are no hidden windows and the firewall isn't blocking anything. The microsoft word mendeley plugin works on this machine, but I need to use Libreoffice for document compatibility.

Pdf annotation improvements
does Mendeley currently have plans to upgrade and improve the annotation feature sometime in the near future? The limited functionality has started to make me consider other options for managing citations. I would like to see the ability to highlight using multiple different colors. Also, the ability to make notes in the margins of PDFs so that the notes remain visible and I don't need to click on every note would be a great help. There are other apps and programs available that contain these features. It would be wonderful if Mendeley would incorporate these features so that I can edit PDFs and manage and organize citations all in one convenient place. When it comes down to it, annotating PDFs on the go on my iPad is more important than organizing them. Without updates, I will be forced to abandon Mendeley.

Quickly import all references cited in an article.
Hi,
Is there anyway for me to import all of the references (~300) used in a paper into my Mendeley account so I can quickly search and cite them with Mendeley when I'm writing my own paper instead of having to save them to my Mendeley account one-by-one via the web importer?
The papers that contain the citations I need can be found on PubMed and I think also the PLOS one site. Please let me know if there are any tips, tricks, or plug-in's that will help me import all of these citations.
Thank you!

Edited collection/collected volume document type
I'm renewing the suggestion previously made in the question (below) about adding an edited collection/collected volume document type. While Mendeley makes it easy to cite individual chapters, there appears to be no way to properly cite the entire book short of manually editing the entry in the bibliography or mucking around with the CSL. Given that edited collections are common in many social science fields, this should be easy, and edited collections should be offered as a document type.
Here's an example (in Chicago Manual of Style-16th ed. style) of what I'm after where I have to manually add the ", eds." after the editors' names:
Katzenstein, Peter J., and Robert O. Keohane, eds. 2007a. Anti-Americanisms in World Politics. Ithaca, NY: Cornell University Press.

Conference paper document type
I'm renewing the question previously asked (in the question below) about a conference paper document type. In my field, conferences don't typically produce published, edited conference proceedings; rather, one simply has the unpublished conference papers -- and I need to properly cite conference papers, not proceedings. In the Chicago Manual of Style, these two types of documents are clearly distinguished from one another. So, having a conference paper document type seems like an obvious improvement for Mendeley to implement. And no, mucking around with the CSL is not the solution when adding this document type would likely benefit many users.

How do I get Mendeley to cite with et al when more than 2 authors?
Sorry, could not find this in the tutorials. I am required to cite using Harvard Anglia Ruskin - currently I am having problems getting the citation to automatically list author et al.,year. Is there a way of altering how Mendeley cites the names in the reference and the bibliography please, so I can use this format everytime when more than 2 authors. Thanks
