How to use literature search to find references?

Ok, so I've only recently started using mendeley, but there is something puzzling me about the literature search function. Whenever I try to use it, I can never find the book I'm looking for (so I can easily add it to my references) and so I have to do everything manually. But when I do it manually in Mendeley Desktop, it finds the page for the book and then tells me other people are reading it! I'll give an example: this book: 'https://www.mendeley.com/research/emperor-domitian-1/?utm_source=desktop&utm_medium=1.15.2&utm_campaign=open_catalog&userDocumentId={6cde28d2-2e5a-4bdc-a428-e49acb419115}'. This link is opened when I click on the 'view research catalog entry for this paper' on Mendeley desktop and shows multiple readers, indicating that it was on the database before I manually entered it. But, try as I might, I cannot get this book to appear when I use the literature search function, on web or on desktop. This is infuriating! Why should I need to type in all the details manually if it's already recorded on the web catalog? Please tell me there is a solution to this!
