I have a draft paper that I have taken through a few rounds of editing now and Mendeley no longer registers the previous bibliography within the document so when I insert new citations the reference numbers starts over at 1 even when the reference is not the first reference made within the document. Furthermore only the reference to the citation appears in the text but the actual citation itself never appears anywhere. How can I get mendeley to register that I already have a bibliography within the document that it needs to refer to?
