I am involved with a project team that is building a research reference library here in Mendeley. We have all been adding papers that we would like transferred to Mendeley into a Dropbox folder. I have been taking these papers from Dropbox and dragging them into Mendeley, syncing with the online version as I go so all Group members have up-to-date access.
What I want to know is: if the dropbox folder is terminated, will all the papers I have uploaded into Mendeley be without a reference file, and thus inaccessible? Or are they all stored in the Online version and can be recalled at any point in the future?
If all the files are now dependent on the Dropbox location, what is the best way to change that? I will not be with the project team for much longer and do not want my computer to be the reference point but want to ensure that all team members have access to the papers we are interested in.
Any insights or advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
