Duplicate entries for one author

One thing that would make Mendeley better (it's excellent as is) is if I could check for duplicate authors in my library. When I import multiple papers by one author, some of these will enter "Richardson, James" as the author while another might be "Richardson, J". This must be because some journals give only the author's initials, while others give the full name. This causes there to be multiple entries in my library for one author. I have manually searched through my library to make corrections, but this takes a while. I was wondering if there is any way to search for duplicate surnames (and possibly duplicate initials / first names with the same surname) so that I don't have to search through every surname? Thanks for a very useful program!
