Hello, I've just installed Mendeley desktop 1.17.10 on a Mac running OS Sierra 10.12.5.
I've downloaded Libre Office 5.3.4.2 but can't find a plugin for Mendeley on its website, plugin is not available on Mendeley Tools menu as the tutorial video indicates.

Where can I see my "Not Favorite" papers
The software allows to mark a paper as "Not Favorite", but unlike "Favorite" papers there is no indicator (the star could e.g. go brown) and nor there is a place I can see all the "Not Favorite" papers.
Can you please help with finding this functionality?

bibliography in word
Hi,
I use Mendeley with the word plug-in, partly in order to be able to quickly create a bibliography afterwards. During the process of writing I have deleted references that used to be in the paper. However, these references still appear in the bibliography when it is compiled. Even removing these references manually does not work; an hour later Mendeley/Word will have included them again.
1. How do I successfully remove a reference so that it won't appear in the bibliography?
2. How do I stop Mendeley/Word from automatically updating the bibliography?

Order of in-text citations when same authors/year, urgent
Hey, I have the same unresolved issue posted by others. I am using Harward referencing style which requires the endings Author 1 2015a and Author 1 2015b to be in the order they are in the text. (Microsoft Word add-on, Word 2016).

Long title for citation
I have a reference source with a very long title to be put into my bibliography. Unfortunately, Mendeley seems to have limited words for the title box when I insert the source manually.
How to solve this problem?

I would like to have a bibliography for each chapter of my document. How to I get the Mendeley word plug in to start numbering references at 1 for a second chapter?

Why the accents in some words or names of authors are sometimes replaced by question marks?
Is there any thing I can do, or I just must replace them one by one?
Example : ??nen?? instead of Önenç
Rodr??guez instead of Rodríguez
S??renso instead of Sørensen

Remove fields from article metadat
Hello,
I would like to prevent mendeley from storing the page numbers, month, day, issue, and volume for all my citations. I would like these to not be exported to bibtex. I am unable to uncheck the boxes for these fields in the document details.
How can I achieve this?

Word PlugIn
I love Mendeley, and the Word plugin is so handy! One thing that would be awesome however, would be if this problem could be fixed... Often I start a citation, forget the page number, then go back to Mendeley to double check. When you click out of the "insert citation box" in Word though, the citation automatically is inserted without a page number. Then you have to go back and edit it again afterwards. A minor thing, but it would make the process that much smoother!

How do these forums work?
Why doesn't this support "post a question" feature work like a regular forum? Why can't I see all the categories and search exiting question/responses? All I can see are questions and no answers. That makes me sad. :(

How can I adapt the style of citation?
Hi guys,
I am currently at the beginning of using Mendeley for my thesis. As I already figured out the basics, I am pretty happy that it works. The only problem is, that the citation style Mendeley uses for books and journals is slightly different from those of my university guidelines. Is it possible to adapt it by Mendeley?

Suggested articles
Based on my earlier choices, Mendeley suggests articles i might be interested in. Indeed most of the suggestions are relevant, they are interesting. So i wonder how are those articles chosen? Why i am interested to know this, is that i wonder if i could use the selection as a database for carrying out a thematic analysis of the articles. To carry out the analysis, i need to know how exactly the articles have been chosen. Would that be possible, could you send me a description of the algorithm which chooses articles? Or at least some parts of the algorithm, like the pool of journals, themes or other relevant aspects? Or any other information that looks useful. Thank you in advance, Marti

citations incomplete
I have noticed that many of the details for some of my citations are not displayed when I insert my bibliography. I have confirmed that the details are in fact shown in the Mendeley desktop but for some reason are not being included in the bibliography. This includes the information on publication name and other details. It works correctly for some citations but not others.

Hi, I want to undo all manual changes that I made on in-text citations. Anyone know how I can do that?
As yet, I select the in-text citation and I press 'undo'... but my dissertation is 450 pages!

I'm being asked a question about security standards by my IT department (I work for US Dept of Navy). Here's the question:

Split reference section
Formatting guidelines require a methods section following the main text with its own reference section. The methods section should be in the same word document and the references in this section should start where the main text reference leave off (e.g. methods references start at 31). I need help figuring out how to:
- Have two bibliographies in the same document
- Have the second bibliography start at a number other than 1
