I imported a journal paper to Mendeley from my home Mac, and synced to the server yesterday. When I tried to open the article from my office PC this morning, I was suggested to import it again. I had made some notes on the article, and do not want to lose them. I went to the Web version, the article is there and all the notes are there. How could I sync it to my office PC?

I am using MLA citation style and would like to insert the urls in my bibliography. Although I set "include urls for all document types", they don't show. Any idea why?
Thanks

Please create text-2-voice functionality.
I think text-2-voice functional (turn the text into the audio book) is helpful for reading your papers . there are separate apps/ but you always have to copy text and upload things. would be nice to do it in one-click manner.

Citation and Reference Styling
I have some citation issues with Mendeley. Using the Harvard citation style, Mendeley cites the references below as (C. Wang et al., 2009; X. Wang et al., 2009). Some resource I checked show that the above citation style may not be correct. Is this correct? If not, how can it be fixed? Thank you.

Problem with the reference details
I have two problems with the appearance of the citations.
1. The reference referral appears as:
(Bertrand et al. n.d.; E. Stewart n.d.)
2. The reference containing the date and website the paper was obtained from:
Liu, X. et al., Production and characterization of a group of bioemulsifiers from the marine Bacillus velezensis strain H3. Applied microbiology …, 2010. Available at: http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00253-010-2653-9 [Accessed September 3, 2015].
Just to make things clear, these problems appear in all of the styles I've chose
Thanks,
Hilla

IEEE paper import
Dear Sir/Madam
I am Ivan Lombardero, I have tried to import IEEE papers (the PDF file) directly to Mendeley (without downloading it to my computer and then adding it to Mendeley) but I have not been able to, even though I have rights to download the PDF to my computer without any problem. I think that IEEE web format is supported by Mendeley, but I have tried both, Mendely Importer (https://www.mendeley.com/import/) and some tips that I found such as dragging and dropping the URL for the PDF into the open Mendeley Desktop program window (http://support.mendeley.com/customer/en/portal/articles/170080-the-web-importer-isn-t-importing-pdf-files) but nothing works for me. Is the IEEE webpage format not supported by Mendeley or should I be able to download the PDF directly to Mendeley desktop or Mendeley online library?
Thank you very much, I am looking forward to your answer
Faithfully, Ivan

prevent duplicates of pdf's
Dear all,
I usually download articles and rename the pdf´s according to my own standards. This Pdf I then attach to the citation entry in the Mendeley program. After restarting Mendeley , the program always creates a duplicate pdf, naming it after Mendeley standards. It either stores duplicates in the directory given by Mendeley( C:\Users\..\AppData\...\Mendeley Desktop\Downloaded) or in the specified folder by me(using the function "file organizer).
The problem is that Mendeley changes my Pdf automatically and uses its own Pdf and assigns it new to the entry in the program or worse creates a new entry for its own pdf.
How can i prevent Mendeley to do so?
And in case it is an online problem, how can i reset my online account and use the information from my local drive defined on my local program Mendeley Desktop?
Thanks!

Bibliogrpahy style format in Word
Apparently Mendeley choses the style "normal (web)" for displaying the bibliography in a word document (word 2010). I could change that style format to make my bibliography look the way i wanted it to (especially regarding line spacing). But now it chose (for no apparent reason or without me doing anything about it) a different style format that I use in my standard text. As i don't want to edit that standard style format (as that would change my whole text) i would like to chose which word style format Mendeley should use to generate my bibliography. Is there a posiibilty to do so?
Regards, Meike

Citation doesn't include date
Hi,
In the following citation, the program lists the citation as "n.d." even though there is quite clearly a date in the entry in Mendeley. I have tried every thing I can think of including:
1. Using different reference types (book, report, etc.)
2. Refreshing the citations
3. Deleting the entry in Mendely and re-entering it
4. Deleting the reference in the paper and re-entering.
Thanks,
Laurel

add a column to header menu
Hey,
in old version, i could add a column to the header menu to identify the importance of my papers, each paper has its own importance level, so every time i can easily find the paper I want in a big list of papers.
But in new version, it seems not possible to modify the header menu? I am totally lost in my paper collection, because they are so many.
Do you have any idea to solve this problem?
thanks!

People seeking general help - offered to become an advisors
Hey guys!
I think it's kind of ridicolous how, after you press Help in the app, you get the page without actual help (guides, questions, etc.) - http://community.mendeley.com/ - but instead you're offered immediately to become an advisor. To find something really related to help you have to scroll down to the footer.

Incorrect bibliographic data
What do we do when Mendeley has WRONG bibliographic data? Eg the paper I'm reading right now is attached to entirely the wrong metadata - wrong title, wrong authors, wrong everything. I have manually corrected it - how are these corrections processed? They don't seem to be making it back into the general database. Wrong/inadequate metadata is coming up a LOT.

Limit of words/characters in synchronization of notes
Synchronization of notes for an article does not synchronize all. Many words are lost in the process. This is really serious, since there is no hint on when it is going to happen!

Define feature
The "define" option is greyed out since installing latest version of Mendeley on Macbook with El Capitan and MS office 2016. Its a very useful feature, help please.

Mendeley DOI lookup seems to fail for all of our DOIs
Sample DOI: 10.6068/DP150A2055B0127 - lookup fails
http://dx.doi.org/10.6068/DP150A2055B0127 - lookup works
Why does Mendeley not resolve our DOIs?

use of et-al for 2, 3 and 4 authors
Hey, I have a question:
I have four documents:
doc a - Author A, 2001
doc b - Author B & K, 2002
doc c - Author C & M & L, 2003
doc d - Author D & X & J & T, 2004
I want to have my citation style like (* et al in italic):
doc a - (Author A 2001)
doc b - (Author B & K 2002)
doc c - (Author C et al. 2003)*
doc d - (Author D et al. 2004)*
I currently just get:
doc a - (Author A 2001)
doc b - (Author B & K 2002)
doc c - (Author C & M et al. 2003)*
doc d - (Author D & X et al. 2004)*
My style: http://csl.mendeley.com/styles/24304241/harvard1-MW-ITALIC-3
So all I want is to use et-al for 3 authors or more, but et-al should be displayed right after the first author name. I wonder if this is even possible, thanks for your help!

Some references in bibliography are not complete
Hello,
In my bibliography, two references keep showing up with incomplete information (no issue number of article and no page numbers) while this information is available in Mendeley. I can't add any additional information here. Any suggestions?
