Visual Editor "Add new reference" example not clear

Hi there. I'm trying to decipher step No. 3 in the example given ion this link: http://support.mendeley.com/customer/en/portal/articles/960892-add-new-citation-example-in-the-visual-csl-editor What is library view? How do I select the reference in Library view? I'm using the latest Mendeley Desktop for Windows but am not able to see the "reference in the Library view." Please help. When I select and copy a document and paste it into Mendeley Web it says it's not a proper JSON. Desperately need to add a conference example. A quick solution will be greatly appreciated.
