Love Mendeley, but that 50 MB file size limitation is killing me. I have several high-quality pdf's of books with searchable text from just over 50 MB to about 130 MB. I expect to receive several more over the course of the next three terms. I also do most of my reading on an iPad, and annotate files on both the Mac and the iPad. Not being able to sync these files means that, even though I can have separate copies of the files on the two devices, any annotations I add on one device won't appear on the other device. This severely limits Mendeley's usefulness to me.
I installed the Mendeley Desktop beta last week, hoping that it would support larger files sizes, but apparently it doesn't.
Is there a plan to allow syncing of larger file sizes any time soon? I seem to recall reading about this in another post.
