A colleague sent me papers with annotations through the email functionality of Mendeley, and I clicked on the link to open the documents with the annotations. I am taken to a page online that says "To read the annotations from [name], save the papers to your Mendeley library and open them in Mendeley Desktop." There is a button at the bottom of the page to open the paper in Mendeley Desktop, which I click, but the annotations are not there. Is there a step I'm missing? There is no PDF attached for me to save to my library (I believe I already had one of the papers).
