word plug in error 429

for some reason my word plug in has stopped working and when I try to insert a citation I get a message saying ActiveX component can't create object (429) in MendeleyPlugin, I have tried un-installing and re-installing the plug in as well as un-stalling and re-installing mendeley on my laptop but nothing has changed
