Italics in reference style

Hi, I was trying to find a reference style that when you insert a reference, it 's automatically puts "et al" into italics. I could not so found a journal type that I knew did use italics for this (Bioresource Technology), and yet it still did not automatically do this. Is there a way to do this? Thanks
