This has been going on for months now. Every time I try to export a citation from Scopus to Mendeley using the direct-to-Mendeley option, I get the error message of:
"An error occurred exporting to Mendeley."
That's it. No explanation whatsoever. It happens no matter what browser I use, no matter what computer I use. I make sure that I'm signed in to the Mendeley site and I also open both the bookmarklet and Chrome extension to sign in to my Mendeley account before trying. I initially thought maybe the error was because Scopus couldn't tell what Mendeley account to export the citation to but now I know that's not the case - I'm logged in to Mendeley everywhere I possibly can be logged in. I'm even logged in to Scopus.
So I turn to the developers and ask what on Earth is going on and why has it been months since this has been resolved? I see other people asking the same question from months and months ago and it seems to never have been fixed.
Please fix this. If you no longer support direct-from-Scopus exports, then maybe let Scopus know so they can remove the option completely.
