Cittation problems

Hi! I am using Mendeley in Office 2016 and I had problems while citting. My cittations can be added, however, if I close the document and open it again, all of them are not recognized anymore. They are still there, but as a simple text, not as a reference. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance
