Which Citations are in the document; move them to a folder

Hi, I have used Mendeley and Word on a mac to build a document with a bibliography. What I need, is for mendeley to tell me which citations are in the document, select them, and move them to a folder of their own. HELP! this should be easy since Mendeley sometimes says, there is a reference not in your library (or something like that) which means Mendeley knows what is in a document.
