I'm experiencing troubles citing the references of some Norwegian colleagues, and article titles. After looking for the paper in Mendeley or directly importing a RIS file form Sciencedirect, some names with ø and å are shown as "\o" or "\a", additionaly some titles contain {}, such as {T} cell population, virus ({IPNV}). Examples: Temkin, R.J., McMillan, D.B., 1986. Gut-associated lymphoid tissue ({GALT}) of the goldfish, Carassius auratus. J. Morphol. 190, 9–26. Ohtani, M., Villumsen, K.R., Str\om, H.K., Raida, M.K., 2014. {3D} visualization of the initial Yersinia ruckeri infection route in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) by optical projection tomography. PLoS One 9, e89672. Now the question is, is there some kind of code, and these symbols will be read by the software of publisher, or do we need to change all these issues manually? (I have tried for some of the Norwegian names, but then "?" appear in the software instead So Strøm who is listed as Str\om becomes Str??om.
